For the past few months I have been telling you about the various remodeling projects going on in our home and today I thought I would give you all a few updates. If you recall...my husband and I purchased a 60 year old home back in May 2010 and since that time we have been gutting it, remodeling it and turning it into a real show piece!
We have been wanting to update the master bathroom sink and the kitchen sink and we finally found what we have been looking for! We decided to go with a stone vessel sink in our master bathroom along with a vessel faucet. After seeing a few of these in person we just fell in love with the modern and elegant look to them. We were also pleasantly surprised at how affordable they are.
For our large kitchen we decided to go with a hammered antique copper kitchen sink as we feel that would look nice with our copper kitchen accents and with our dark walnut kitchen cabinets. We wanted a modern but yet country style kitchen and we feel that the copper works well with that type of decor. All I need to do is find a nice hanging copper pot rack and we will be pretty much finished with the kitchen.
I am really happy that I was able to find several nice vessel sinks that would work in our home and I am now considering getting 2 additional ones to go in our other bathrooms. If everything goes well with the installation...perhaps I will get 2 more for our vacation home next summer as both of those bathrooms need remodeled too!
Anyway...that is the update for this month on what we have completed so far with our house renovation. Do any of you have any remodeling projects on tap for this year?
