A few weeks ago my sister gave me this recipe and I finally had time last week to make it. If you love recipes that only require a handful of ingredients and take less than 30 minutes to bake...then this recipe is definitely for you!
Note: Depending on how thick or thin your fish fillets are...you may need to vary the cooking/baking time with this recipe. If you don't want to bake them, you can certainly fry them up in a large skillet on the stove-top. In addition, we purchase the Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs that come in a canister at the grocery store. This eliminates the need to add additional seasonings.
Pecan Crusted Tilapia Recipe
4 large Tilapia fillets
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup pecans, finely crushed
3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pour milk into a medium sized bowl. Place the crushed pecans and seasoned bread crumbs in another. Gently dip the fish fillets into the milk, hold them above the bowl and let the milk drain back into the bowl. Drudge the moistened fish fillets into the crushed pecans & bread crumbs mixture until all sides of the fish is coated.
Place fish into a glass baking dish and into a preheated oven. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until done. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
