My husband loves eating nachos and I bet he eats nachos at least once a week for his after-dinner snack. When it comes to eating nachos...he prefers homemade dips and has a large stash of nacho dip recipes. A few days ago he finally 'shared' one of his recipes with me, so that I could share it with all of you.
Spicy Hot Nacho Dip Recipe
8 oz. pkg. Velveeta cheese, softened
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons onions, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 to 2 tablespoons hot sauce
* optional - chopped black olives
In a large saucepan, melt the Velveeta cheese and cream cheese over low heat. Once melted, stir in the minced onions, salt, ground black pepper and hot sauce. Simmer over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking and scorching. Remove from heat and serve immediately.Refrigerate all leftovers and reheat in a microwave for later use.
